Braveheart Programs

  • Individualized one-to-one mentoring support services aimed at achieving goal attainment, while advancing information equity through resource navigation within the specialized focus areas of independent living such as; housing, employment, education, and social/emotional wellbeing.

  • Motivational meetings, individualized mentoring & treatment planning advocacy efforts aimed at reducing feelings of isolation, bridging service gaps and uplifting the voices of young adults who are temporarily away from their home community and residing in a foster, kin, group, therapeutic, secured, or congregate care placement setting.

  • In partnership with the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, this statewide peer warmline tele-service provides emotional support and resource connections for young adults ages 14-21 who are currently or once were impacted by the child welfare system of New York State. This service is the first of it's kind for foster care in NY.

  • Through training curriculums, workshop presentations, focus groups, advisory board development and more, we host learning exchanges for emerging youth advocates, providers and system stakeholders by challenging audiences to think outside the box by reconstructing organizational practices and ideologies on the meaningful inclusion of youth voice.

  • Braveheart advocacy experts create, facilitate & coordinate the statewide youth advisory board for the NYS Office of Children & Family Services. These young adults represent the voices, causes and concerns of youth who have been impacted by the child welfare system, while examining the policies and practices of youth engagement across the state of New York

  • Operating county-wide through a lens of healing & belonging; participants collectively immerse themselves in community responsive peer-led safe spaces that inspire authenticity and courageous conversations regarding the experiences and concerns that impact transitional age young adults between the ages of 14-18. Weekly meetings are hosted in Spring Valley, NY.

  • Operating city-wide through a lens of healing & belonging; participants collectively immerse themselves in community responsive peer-led safe spaces that inspire authenticity and courageous conversations regarding the experiences and concerns that impact transitional age young adults between the ages of 14-26. Individualized mentoring and weekly motivational meetings are hosted at The Circle of Dreams Family Enrichment Center in The Bronx.

  • Offerings of individualized and group mentoring services throughout the City of Newburgh through a lens of healing & belonging; participants convene in community responsive peer-led safe spaces that inspire authenticity and courageous conversations regarding the experiences and concerns that affect transitional age young adults between 14-21 residing in Orange County who have been impacted by the foster care system.

  • A peer-led mentoring & diversion advocacy program offered to young adults residing in Westchester County, NY who have been impacted by the juvenile justice and congregate care systems.
